Olivia D. Purba

Olivia D. Purba received her bachelor degree in 2010 from University of Indonesia majoring in International Relations. During her study, she was awarded Peace Scholarship to study abroad in Swinburne University of Technology, Australia, and selected as the participant for Study at the United States Institutes (SUSI) Program on Global Environmental Issues in University of Montana, U.S.A. After graduated, she worked for almost two years in the National Council of Climate Change Indonesia, which has given her the opportunity to observe the environmental policy from the national level. At present, she works as a research assistant in the new School of Government and Public Policy in Jakarta.
Gracia Paramitha
General Secretary and Sponsorship Coordinator
Gracia Paramitha is a Master of International Relations student in the University of Indonesia. A passionate environmentalist, she is the first Indonesian youth to become the Global Youth Advisor to the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP)’s TUNZA Programme. She was part of the Indonesian delegation to the UNFCCC COP 15 climate change conference in 2009 as well as the Rio+20 Earth Summit in 2012. At the local level, she is involved in waste management programs and green spaces development. Gracia has many accomplishments under her name: she was the regional finalist for the 2013 Hult Prize in Dubai, awarded as “Distinguished Parlimentarian” at the 2012 Asia Pacific Youth Parliament for Water, as well as awarded the SUSI Scholarship by the US Department of State on Global Environmental Issues in 2010. She is also involved in youth issues by helping organize the 2012 International Youth Day 2012 Celebration. Gracia strongly believes that participating in the Y8 Summit will make her one step closer to her dream of building sustainable young leader through Indonesian Green Diplomacy. Her motto is “Sustainability is a necessity; it will be real if you have integrity.”

Hi, my name is Syifa Fauzia. I am currently a fourth-year student majoring International Relations in Hasanuddin University, Indonesia. Being an international relations student, although politics and economics in the main case, I am also seeking every opportunity that can make international relations down to Earth in practice. I realize that I have to bring the environmental sustainability aspect in every single part of my business, society, and environment. In daily campus life I am enjoying myself as the youth advisory of Green Youth Movement called HIJAU. In July 2009 my team won the third prize of The Ministry of Education in National Student Research Competition of Indonesia.
By this research I was elected as delegation of Hasanuddin University in Join Research Program of Indonesia-Japan Students based on sailing trough the wooden boat in Spermonde Island, South-Sulawesi-Indonesia.My newest environmental project is handling Makassar Berkebun, the urban farm community, as the head of farming academy.

Maic Eybi Sihombing

My name is Eybi. I am a biology student at University of Brawijaya, Malang, Indonesia. I love singing, listening a music (pop, jazz, gospel, etc), reading books, and playing chess. I really love and enjoy doing my hobbies, even though my performance is not always so good. My Interest in the environment was sparked during Biology class, which discussed pollution and deforestation in Balikpapan.
I joined a science group and became an assistant in a botanical garden to broaden my horizons about the environment. Finally, I choose biology as my major to get a better, and deeper understanding of the enviroment. I had a valuable opportunity to participate in the Go Green Poject to help people in Gunung Sari Village to minimize the effect s of erosion by planting 1000 trees.
I joined a science group and became an assistant in a botanical garden to broaden my horizons about the environment. Ika Zahara Qurani

Ika is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree on International Relations while focusing her study on global environmental politics issues. Since 2008, she has been a member staff of an environmental organization called Ranita Green Youth Movement. Her main work is to arrange yearly project regarding climate change and environmental policy research.
She has been actively organizing various environmental programs, such as recycling workshop, campaign and public discussions. She was also a delegate for her country at various international events such as TUNZA Youth Conference (2011), a Ph.D scholar level forum–Congress of East Asia Association on Environment and Resources Economics (EAAERE 2012) and Asia Pacific Graduate Youth Forum on Green Economy (2012). After took a break as an activist to do her internship in the United Nations Information Center in Jakarta, she was granted a summer school scholarship on environmental studies in the United States of America (2012).

Muhamad Fahmi Ramadhan

Muhamad Fahmi Ramadhan is a final year student at Paramadina University majoring in visual communication design with full scholarship from Bpk. Ahmad Ganis. He is currently active serving as a steering commitee of a youth-led non profit organization that concerns on environment for youth, named Indonesian Youth Coalition for Sustainable Environment (KOPHI). He also awarded as the participant for Study at the United States Institutes (SUSI) Program on Global Environmental Issues in University of Montana, U.S.A in 2011. Environmental Issues always got his attention. Since 2007, he has been involved in many environmental activities as environment and tourism ambassador in Tarakan City. He also have a big of interest in developing a digital media. He worked for United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Indonesia Country Office as multimedia intern in Global Youth Forum Secretariat. In this project, he responsible to build and maintain YEP Camp website and it publication design.
Anwari Nur Muttaqin

My name is Anwari. Before I went to college in Yogyakarta, I lived in a village called Goleng, a small village in the district Grobogan, Central Java. It is located on the slopes of the mountain limestone, and the majority of the population is farmers.In 1997, I went to Terkesi Elementary School. In 2003, Istudied in the Islamic Junior High school of Nasyrul Ulum Grobogan. In 2006, Istudied in Islamic Senior High School of Nahdlatul Muslimin Kudus, Central Java. And 2010until now I have been studying at theState Islamic University of Yogyakarta,Indonesia (Biology Education department). In addition to my college activity,I follow the activities of regular students. One activityis being in the Student Choir. Because Ilive in Yogyakarta-is one of the cultural cities in Indonesia- I’m very interested in culture. On my campus, every Thursday I learn about Java traditional dance, Java folklore and other cultures from different areas in Indonesia.

Febe Amelia has just obtained her bachelor degree earlier this year from Universitas Padjadjaran majoring in International Relations. Along with 19 bright student leaders from Indonesia, she was selected as a participant of Study of the U.S. Institute for Student Leaders on Religious Pluralism in 2011. In the same year, she also received the prestigious Global Korea Scholarship to study about International Studies in Ajou University, Korea, for one semester as an exchange student. Up until now, she is actively involved in several youth organizations as she has a keen interest in youth development and empowerment. At present, she is pursuing a career in human development while working as a digital research analyst since she also believes in the power of digital to empower development.

Couple times got scholarship, such as Study of the U.S Institutes on New Media in Journalism at Ball State University, USA in 2011 and also UN Summer School on Intercultural Dialogue at Universidade de Coimbra, Portugal in 2012.
